Description

This is a rigorous class that quickly introduces the students to the medium of ceramics and clay. One third of the semester is spent hand building, two thirds is spent throwing pots on the pottery wheel. 6 hours per week of outside-of-class studio work is required. An overview of working with clay, vessel decoration, glazing, and kiln firing will enable the student to gain confidence in this thrilling medium.
