Description

Fundamentals of Taxation exposes students to the philosophy and intentions of the Federal Income Tax law of the United States of America. The course introduces IRS tax code applications of the basic tax law through use of various forms and organization types so the student can obtain an overview of how tax law applies to many business and personal transactions. Students will learn tax code, regulations, IRS tax forms, and the practical processes
of complying with Federal Tax Law for businesses and individuals. This course is designed for students in the accounting concentration but can apply to many fields in business as well as pre-law and other professional concentrations. Prerequisites: BUS201.
