Instructions

Use the finances section to apply for financial aid, review policies and access other resources. Every year the deadline to apply for institutional scholarships is March 15, so be sure to apply on time.

When you login to mysvu as a student, the finances section will also be tool to manage and monitor your financial account with the university.

Ways to Pay
Scholarships + Grants

Financial aid opportunities available through the university. These should be the first feature in your plan to finances your education at Southern Virginia.

External Financial Aid

Government grants, outside scholarships and popular scholarship search engines. These funding sources can help you cover the costs of your education without incurring too much debt.

Loans

Information on borrowing money to fund your education. Since a Southern Virginia education is a powerful investment in yourself, moderate borrowing may be a wise way to fill any remaining costs after contributions from financial aid, employment, and help from family.

Employee Morale Scholarship
